Putting Grounded Eggshells On Your Garden Soil Can Do Wonders
I was raised by a mom who loves gardening so much. While growing up, one thing that I learned from her to make the garden soil rich is to put eggshells on it. So whenever we use eggs for cooking, all of the eggshells will be collected and then brought to the garden. They kind of serve as ‘vitamins’ to the soil, according to my mom.
The next time you make pancakes or just your usual sunny-side up, remember not to throw the eggshells straight to the garbage can. Since eggshells are rich in calcium, it will surely give your garden soil a boost.
Some prefer to put the eggshells straight to the soil. But to make it easier, you can have them in dust form. How? Once you have collected plenty of eggshells, all you need to do is to put everything into your blender and let it grind everything.
When the shells turn into powder already, you can just simply sprinkle them into your garden soil.
However, be reminded that eggshells will leave an unwanted smell in your kitchen and your blender, so it is advised that you totally clean everything before you leave the room or use the blender with other stuff.
